Julianna Newland Shares Insights From Three Decades Of Professional Experiences In New Book, “All Up In Your Bizness: Managing Your Business Crap”

Indianapolis author’s debut book is a witty contemplation on navigating the business world

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN – October 11, 2023) All Up In Your Bizness: Managing Your Business Crap is the latest book from Julianna Newland, a seasoned writer with a varied career spanning three decades and a variety of industries. It is available now at bookstores across the United States and online at the Apple iTunes Store, Amazon, Google Play and Barnes and Noble.

All Up In Your Bizness is a whimsical collection of lighthearted and humorous stories and experiences drawn from the author’s own observations over the course of her career, accompanied by good-hearted advice to help readers navigate the business world. Published by Fulton Books, this book is a tongue-in-cheek look at well-known elements of professional life, paired with craft cocktail recipes from the mixologists of Ambrosia Restaurant in Indianapolis, IN. The libations are named in the same humorous spirit, with titles such as “The Interview” and “The Performance Review.”

After graduating from the University of Indianapolis, Newland went on to work for a Fortune 500 company, in state government, at nonprofits and at a trade association. These positions required a solid writer with prowess in public affairs, government affairs, lobbying and fundraising.

“I have been employed for more than thirty years in several jobs, where I have seen hilarious shenanigans of the men and women who worked with me and the processes and programs that often befuddled us,” writes Newland. “Although I have written dozens of speeches, testimonials, newsletters, and talking points, they do not contain the wit and whimsy of this book.”

“Throughout the book, Newland’s writing style is informal, witty, conversational and entertaining, making it an enjoyable read for anyone who has experienced the corporate world,” Pacific Book Review writes. “The author’s anecdotes and observations add a lighthearted touch to what can be a serious and sometimes frustrating subject.”
